Stratford Editorial 21st Jan, 2020   0

FOUR men have been arrested for drug offences in Stratford.

Three were arrested following a suspected drug deal on Saturday night (January 18).

Police on patrol in Drayton Avenue were suspicious of two men. The pair fled but were chased by officers and arrested nearby.

A quantity of what is believed to be class A drugs was seized.

A third arrest was made following a search of a nearby property.

The three men – two aged 18 and another 20 – were all arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug and later released under investigation. Officers also seized a large amount of cash.

The following night, a 19-year-old from Birmingham was arrested on suspicion of possession of class A drugs with intent to supply.

He was arrested after officers seized what they believed to be class A drugs during a ‘stop and search’ in Trevelyan Crescent.

The man has been released under investigation.

Anyone with information or any other concerns about drug production, dealing or use in the community should call police on 101. Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
