Green-fingered folk on track for winter

Stratford Editorial 2nd Nov, 2017   0

GREEN-FINGERED folk were on track for winter at Stratford station this week.

FOSS (Friends of Stratford Station) started its winter planting, which will include painting stones and planting bulbs on platform one, and pruning trees and bushes on platform two.

FOSS spokeswoman Coun Jenny Fradgley said: “FOSS has worked hard with London Midland to create a station that residents and visitors can be proud of.

“Both Roscon and Tesco have expressed an interest in helping FOSS to go forward, Blenheim Nurseries give so much help in kind, and Avon Support is amazing at keeping the plants properly watered throughout the summer and together with all members are looking forward to great planting next year.

“We hope to keep our station a delight for residents and visitors.
