STAFF at South Warwickshire Foundation Trust (SWFT) are happy in their work.
The trust – which runs hospitals in Warwick, Leamington, Stratford and Shipston – has been voted as one of the best NHS organisations in the country to work for.
SWFT scored some of the highest results in the country in a survey which saw staff rate the trust as average or above average in nearly all categories.
In the Department of Health commissioned survey staff scored the trust above the national average for being a good place to work and receive treatment.
Chief executive Glen Burley said: “The annual survey is the most important quality indicator available.
“There is now a great deal of evidence which demonstrates that good results in the survey mean that great care is being delivered to patients and service users.
“As an organisation which delivers hospital and community services, covering a large geographical area, staff engagement is crucial.
“Therefore seeing these positive results highlights our level of commitment to working with all of our staff in all parts of the county.
“Each year our results are getting stronger and we now stand out as one of the best NHS organisations in the country to work at.
“This helps us to recruit the very best staff to provide safe, effective, compassionate care.”
The trust have been working to improve staff satisfaction, recently launching benefits which give employees exclusive offers such as discounted gym memberships and car rentals.
It is the first scheme of its kind in the NHS and enables staff to access their benefits via their mobile phone.
