STRATFORD Leisure Centre is in the running to receive a top industry award.
The centre has been shortlisted for centre of year at the Active Uprising Awards in recognition of its range of facilities on offer.
Stratford Leisure Centre, which is managed by Everyone Active on behalf of the district council, has been nominated in six categories. It will discover if it has scooped any awards at a ceremony on Thursday June 21.
Centre manager Nick Stowey said: “I am delighted Stratford has been shortlisted for such a prestigious award for the second year running. All of our colleagues work hard to deliver excellent customer service and high-quality facilities for the local community.
“The centre offers a diverse range of facilities to support everyone on their journey to leading a healthier and more active lifestyle, and we look forward to continuing to work with the council to encourage local residents to become more active, more often.”
