Local photographer holds debut exhibition

Stratford Editorial 26th Mar, 2018   0

NATURE is the focus of a photography exhibition at Stratford ArtsHouse.

The collection from photographer Charlie Budd is entitled Tragedy and Tolkein and includes shots taken from Oversley Woods near Alcester.

The prints are accompanied by descriptions which include poetry and quotes from Tolkien and comments from Charlie himself.

It also includes a series of tongue-in-cheek warnings about plant sap.

He said: “I’ve been overwhelmed by the response to my photos, and even the captions too.”

The former decorator developed a passion of photography after he broke his back when he fell from scaffolding.

The Stratford resident has since established a successful business using his pictures to create two calendars.

The exhibition can be viewed during regular opening hours and the prints are available to buy.
