THE SENSORY garden at Stratford’s Welcombe Hills School has been given a makeover.
A team of volunteers from Stratford-based insurer NFU Mutual recently spent a day painting planters and benches, and cleaning and clearing the garden to make it a safe environment.
Nicky Morle, Welcombe Hills office manager said: “It is amazing, and has made such a difference. We have over the past year sadly lost very much loved members of our school family, and we wanted a quiet place where we could remember them in peace and calm. We are very grateful to NFU Mutual volunteers for their support in helping us to achieve this.
“The team undertook their volunteering in the Summer holidays, so were not able to meet staff and our children on the day, so we wanted to invite them back to the school to so we could say thank you.”
