Man charged following Stratford policeman crash

A MAN has been charged with driving dangerously and drink driving after a car crashed into a police officer in Stratford.

The incident happened on Hathaway Green Lane on November 27. It left the Warwickshire Police Officer from Rugby needing hospital treatment for arm and hand injuries.

Barrie Paull Pearce, age 26 of Cross Street, Burton-on-Trent has been charged with driving a motor vehicle dangerously, driving a motor vehicle when alcohol level above the legal limit and attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent to do grievous bodily harm.

He will appear at Warwickshire Magistrates Court on April 5.
