More dementia support services available than ever in Stratford

Stratford Editorial 23rd May, 2018   0

SUPPORT is more accessible than ever for those affected by dementia.

Stratford District Council has highlighted services from carer groups and cafes, to allotment projects and online help in an updated leaflet, as part of dementia action week.

The original booklet – which was created in 2016 – has increased from eight pages to 12, showing a rise in support across the district.

Health spokesman coun Peter Richards said: “It is reassuring to know there is increasing support available for people living with dementia and their carers.

“Dementia has such an impact on people’s lives – for those living with the condition as well as those caring for a loved one with dementia.

“The cafes and other support available in the district can make a significant difference to their lives.”
