THE NEW chairman of Alcester and Stratford District Round Table aims to make a difference in the community.

Gary Davies has stepped into the role along with Matt Payne supporting him as vice chairman.

Gary, who is a senior project surveyor for construction company Wilmott Dixon, said: “I have some great events planned, and we have a great group that really makes a difference in the areas we cover and we are hoping to increase membership to be able to do more. I’m also looking to smash the fundraising record this year.”

The social club offers men aged between 18 and 45 the opportunity to give back to the community while enjoying events like wakeboarding, archery, fire spinning and running the Santa Sleigh at Christmas.
