Old and new inspires artistic Stratford School students

THE OLD and the new have provided the inspiration for artistic six formers at Stratford School.

Something Old and Something New was the theme for large scales canvas paintings which will be displayed in rotation at Shakespeare Hospice’s Alcester shop until mid July.

Students started their masterpieces after being invited by the Alcester branch to take part in a project aimed to brighten up their shop front.

With the outline theme, students captured everything from an old railway line which used to run through the town to a celebration of Alcester’s many cafes.

The artists who took part were Joel Vann, Holly Beard, Celia Price, Sophie Brooke, Chloe Boff, Millie Adams, Benjamin Duffield-Harding, Conor Lynch, George Missir, Edward Hart, Charlie Froud, Lloyd Kendrick-Culbert, Lucinda Thorley, Thomas Lane and Alice Jervis-Prax.
