Oldbury man jailed for Stratford drug and weapon offences

AN OLDBURY man has been handed a two year prison sentence following drug and weapon offences in Stratford.

Ashley Vinnicombe of Oldacre Road, Oldbury was arrested in July after being spotted acting suspiciously on Bridge Street. He was stopped by officers on Sheep Street and arrested.

The 21 year-old pleaded guilty to supplying a controlled class A drug – diamorphine – and having a knife in a public place at Warwick Crown Court.

He was sentenced to two years in prison for supplying the drug and four months for having a knife in a public place.
