AN OPTICIANS is proving it is all heart after paying for a public access defibrillator.
Specsavers in Stratford funded the lifesaving equipment now outside Avon Bowling Club at the recreation ground.
Store director Paul Griffiths said: “As a local business we are very much about looking after the heart of our community – and this latest activity is actually quite a literal take on our commitment.”
“As sponsors of the Avon Bowling Club we were keen to help with the funding of this vital piece of equipment. Of course, we hope it’s not needed, but it’s reassuring to know it’s there as a potential life saver.”
The club supports various local charities and holds regular community bowling nights to encourage newcomers.
