Paddling pool opens on Rec for summer season

Stratford Editorial 26th May, 2015 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016

A SPLASHING good time can now be had by youngsters in Stratford.

Children can keep cool in the paddling pool at Stratford Recreation Ground after it was given a revamp and reopened for the summer season by Stratford District Council Chairman Mike Gittus.

The free to use pool opens from 11am to 6pm every weekend until July 18 and will then be available daily during the school holidays until September 13.

Technical Services spokesman Coun Mike Brain said: “The paddling pool is just one of the many facilities offered by the district council to keep children and young people entertained throughout the summer season.

“It’s great fun, it’s free, and it’s in the beautiful surroundings of Stratford Recreation Ground – let’s hope the sun shines on us this summer.”
