TALENTED painter Tony Mawbey was named as the winner of this year’s Stratford Society Summer Exhibition.
Tony’s acrylic painting ‘Pressing Home’ was chosen ‘visitors favourite’ among over 600 artworks from art society members.
President Michael Culverwell presented Tony with a trophy and vouchers sponsored by Picturesque of Warwick.
Mr Culverwell said: “Not only was this the most popular picture but a well deserved award as Tony had also supported the society’s ‘Stratford Now’ project with a beautifully detailed picture of the interior of Holy Trinity Church.”
