People can try their hand at beekeeping

Stratford Editorial 19th Dec, 2016   0

WOULD-BE beekeepers are being given a chance to find out more.

The Stratford and District Beekeepers’ Association is holding a taster day at Luddington Village Hall on Saturday January 28

which will provide an opportunity to find more about beekepping before spending money on courses and equipment.

There will be practical demonstrations – but no live bees – and experienced beekeepers will be on hand to give advice.

The cost is £15 for the day including refreshments.

For those with more serious intentions, but with little or no knowledge of beekeeping, the association is also running an Introduction to Beekeeping Course.

This is on alternate Tuesday evenings from mid-February, also at Luddington Village Hall, with a cost of £75.

Visit www.stratfordbeekeepers.org.uk or call Mike Osbourne on 01789 731745 for further information.
