People in Salford Priors encouraged to have say over future development

Stratford Editorial 17th May, 2016 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016   0

PEOPLE in Salford Priors are being given the chance to have a say in how their village develops over the coming years.

Salford Priors Parish Council has submitted its draft Neighbourhood Development Plan with the help of the local community.

Introduced by the coalition government as part of the Localism Act, the plan allows residents, businesses and councillors to decide how an area should develop.

It sets out a vision for the future of the parish and the planning policies, and will be used to determine planning applications locally in the future.

The draft plan is set to undergo a six-week consultation period from Thursday (May 19) and Stratford District Council is inviting people to give their views until 5pm on Friday July 1.

A copy of the draft plan and all associated documents can be viewed online at www.stratford.gov.uk/nplan, and in person either at the district council offices or at Stratford, Alcester and Bidford libraries during normal opening hours.

Representations can be made by visiting www.stratford.gov.uk/salfordpriorsnp, completing an online form and emailing [email protected] or by post to FREEPOST RTJX-GHEE-ZUCS, Stratford District Council, Consultation Unit, Elizabeth House, Church Street, Stratford, CV37 6BR.
