People urged to attend Shakespeare Duck Race this weekend

Stratford Editorial 21st Aug, 2018 Updated: 21st Aug, 2018   0

YOU would be quackers to forget your duck.

That’s the message from Stratford Rotary Club ahead of the Shakespeare Duck Race on Saturday (August 25).

Around 2,500 rubber ducks will be launched at 2pm below the weir at Lucy’s Mill – opposite Holy Trinity Church – and there will be a cash prize of £150 for the winning duck, £100 for the runner-up, and £50 for third place.

All money raised by the event will go to the Shakespeare Hospice’s Children and Young People’s services.

Entry is £2 per duck, with supporters receiving an allocated number which co-ordinates with a numbered duck.

There will also be ice cream and face painting.
