PLANS to build homes on a greenbelt site in Stratford have been approved.
The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust and Rosconn Strategic Land has been granted permission for five homes, parking, gardens and the conversion of an office building, on trust land off Warwick Road
The area is part of The Hill estate formerly owned by Shakespeare’s family which includes a Victorian coach house last used as an office.
There are also several dilapidated sheds and greenhouses which would be demolished.
Stratford District Council’s planning committee approved the plans despite concerns over greenbelt and development constraints outlined in the Neighbourhood Plan.
