Plans for new homes in Alcester and Lower Quinton

Stratford Editorial 26th Apr, 2017 Updated: 26th Apr, 2017   0

NEARLY 200 new homes could be built in Alcester.

Outline planning permission has already been granted to developers Bloor Homes, Gallagher Estates and Pettifer Developments, but they have now revealed they hope to build 190 homes close to Allimore Lane.

If given the green light, a number of one to five bed homes will be built on the site.

Stratford District Council is now considering the developers’ ‘Approval of Reserved Matters’ which looks at the scale, layout and appearance of the plans.

PLANS have been submitted to build 44 homes at Lower Quinton.

Affordable housing developers Bromfield want to build on land at the corner of Goose Lane and Main Road.

Outline planning permission for one to four bedroom homes was approved in 2015, but developers have now drastically reduced the number of homes from 100 to 44 and are seeking an ‘approval of reserved matters’ to change the figure.

It follows objections from Quinton Parish Council and nearly 100 objections from residents who say so many homes would be ‘inappropriate, unsustainable, a flood risk and would impact on the area’s character and appearance.

Stratford District Council officers have yet to decide on the plans.
