Police seek witnesses to kebab shop assault

POLICE are appealing for information following an assault  in a Stratford takeaway.

Two men were  assaulted by at least three other men in Stratford Kebab Shop on Meer Street around 12.30am on Tuesday December 29.

One of the victims sustained a facial injury, and the other was momentarily knocked unconscious.

Det Sgt Bal Gill said: “This assault happened in a busy place and must have been witnessed by several people.




“We believe that two women also filmed it on their phones. We are keen to speak to these witnesses, or anyone else who may have information.”

A 16-year-old boy and a 17-year-old boy, both from Stratford have both been arrested in connection with the incident and are currently on bail until January 26.
