Primary school appealing for help to save roof

Stratford Editorial 22nd Jul, 2017   0

PUPILS and staff at Dunnington Primary school are in desperate need of help to save their old chapel roof.

The chapel was built in 1876 as a school for the children of the workers of Ragley Hall and now houses the school’s library.

But years of weathering has left the roof in need of replacing.

The school is appealing to the local community and past pupils for donations to go towards the cost of repairs by sponsoring a roof tile.

For £10, sponsors can sign and decorate tiles, which will form part of the chapel for many years to come.

Sponsors will also have their name inscribed on a plaque placed on the front of the chapel as a thank you.

To sponsor a tile contact the school’s PTA by emailing [email protected] or call the school office on 01789 772200.
