SAFETY-CONSCIOUS youngsters at a Stratford primary school will be seen more clearly this winter thanks to a donation of high-visibility vests from a town opticians.
As part of an initiative to keep children safe in the darker months, Specsavers donated 200 hi-vis vests to pupils at Bridgetown Primary School.
“Now that the clocks have gone back, it’s important that we do everything we can to help keep children safe as the nights draw in,’ said Stratford store director Jonathan Belcher. “These vests will make children easily visible to drivers and, as a lot of children’s learning takes place outside the classroom, I’m sure they’ll also come in useful on school trips.”
Bridgetown headteacher Louise Lowes thanked Specsavers for the vests.
