Pupils anticipate long awaited play equipment

Stratford Editorial 22nd Oct, 2017   0

ACTIVE pupils at Bridgetown Primary in Stratford are looking forward to the arrival of new play equipment.

The school had been raising money to replace an old climbing frame and outdoor equipment, and retirement housebuilder McCarthy and Stone got them over the line with a £1,000 donation to the Friends of Bridgetown Primary School for an all-weather multi use games area, together with trim trail

Pupils will be able to use the equipment during lessons and playtimes, and it will also be available to community groups out of school hours.

Deputy head teacher Lisa Pinkerton said: “Supporting the emotional and physical wellbeing of our children is central to our school values.

“By having this new play area in place, our children can learn and play in an exciting, stimulating and safe environment. We are very grateful to McCarthy and Stone for their kind donation and the children are really enjoying the new play equipment.”
