PUPILS in Stratford have swapped the classroom for the conference centre to continue learning.
Forty-five pupils have taken over the conference centre at the DoubleTree by Hilton as under government guidelines their school Holy Trinity Church of England Primary did not have enough extra space to accommodate the pupils.
Headmistress Jo Herrero and Stratford MP Nadhim Zahawi approached the hotel across the road to see what could be done.
General Manager and dad Daniel Goodby did not hesitate to offer free accommodation in the Ragley Suite for the rest of term.
He said: “We are very much part of the community and when I got the call I wanted us to do our bit to help the local children continue their education. The conference room has been turned in to two classrooms and I think the kids are really enjoying a new school home.”
Mr Zahawi MP dropped in to check on the temporary school and find out first-hand how the children were finding their new surroundings.
