Pups prepare for National Dog Day

Maisie Jeynes 17th Aug, 2017

IT WILL be all paws on deck at Anne Hathaway’s Cottage for a day of waggy tails and walkies.

To celebrate National Dog Day, the home of Shakepeare’s wife is welcoming furry friends on Saturday (August 26).

Pooches – and their owners – can take part in family-friendly games and explore the gardens and woodland.

For camera-friendly canines, there will be a dog selfie-station and mini dog show, where pups can compete in waggiest tail, best biscuit catcher and most smiley dog competitions, to name just a few.

There will also be a have-a-go agility course and treasure hunt around the grounds.

Admission fees apply, but visitors who bring their dogs on the day get a 20 per cent discount.
