AVON Boating is preparing to launch a giant duck.
The firm, which runs trips and boat hire and repairs on the Avon in Stratford, is the proud owner of the first giant corporate duck bought for Stratford Rotary’s Shakespeare Charity Duck Race – in support of children and young people’s services offered by Shakespeare Hospice.
The super-sized rubber ducks are new additions to this year’s race taking place on Saturday August 25 – starting from Lucy’s Mill Weir at 2pm.
The giant ducks, which cost £100, can be branded, dressed up or decorated by companies for racing in the Corporate Duck Race.
And a range of corporate designer ducks, such as a chef duck and hairdresser duck, are also available for £35 each.
Jade Swinfen, director at Avon Boating, said: “It’s a pleasure to support the duck race, which raises thousands of pounds for the children and young people’s services at the Shakespeare Hospice. We all get into the spirit of the race and will be cheering for our giant duck on the day.”
