Rain does not dampen spirits on charity golf day

Stratford Editorial 28th May, 2017   0

RAIN did not dampen spirits during a charity golf day at Stratford’s Golf Club.

Over 20 teams from local companies turned out to support Stratford Rotary’s 27th Charity Golf Day – raising £6,000 for the Shakespeare Hospice.

The team from George Pragnell jewellers maintained a firm grip on the trophy coming out victors.

JPM Plumbing and Peter Clarke and Co were joint second.

Rotarian Andrew Wolfe said: “This event is always well supported and we are so grateful to the players, who are such good sports, and our generous sponsors. Despite a few showers throughout the day, high spirits and great sportsmanship prevailed. We are delighted to have raised a significant amount for the Shakespeare Hospice.”
