Residents in Bidford invited to have say on future development

Stratford Editorial 22nd Jun, 2016 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016   0

PEOPLE in Bidford are being given the chance to have a say in how their village develops over the coming years.

Bidford Parish Council has submitted its draft Neighbourhood Development Plan with the help of the local community.

Introduced by the coalition government as part of the Localism Act, the plan allows residents, businesses and local councillors to decide how an area should develop.

Setting out a vision for the future of the parish and the planning policies, the document will be used to determine planning applications locally.

The draft plan is set to undergo a six week consultation period and Stratford District Council is inviting people to give their views by Friday August 5.

A copy of the draft plan and all associated documents can be viewed online at www.stratford.gov.uk/, in person at the district council offices or at Stratford and Bidford libraries during normal opening hours.

Residents can make their thoughts known by completing an online form and emailing [email protected] or by posting a response to FREEPOST RTJX-GHEE-ZUCS, Stratford-on-Avon District Council, Consultation Unit, Elizabeth House, Church Street, Stratford, CV37 6BR.
