Residents urged to have a say in Long Compton's Neighbourhood Plan

Stratford Editorial 16th Jun, 2015 Updated: 28th Oct, 2016   0

RESIDENTS in Long Compton are being given the chance to have a say in how their village develops over the coming years.

Long Compton Parish Council has submitted its draft Neighbourhood Development Plan with the help of the local community.

Introduced by the coalition government as part of the Localism Act, the plan allows residents, businesses and local councillors to decide how an area should develop.

Setting out a vision for the future of the parish and the planning policies, which will be used to determine planning applications locally, the draft plan will now undergo a six week consultation period.

Stratford District Council is inviting people to give their views on the draft plan with the deadline for responses 5pm on Friday, July 24.

A copy of the draft plan and all associated documents can be viewed online at www.stratford.gov.uk/nplan, in person at the district council offices or at Stratford and Stratford libraries during normal opening hours.
