SHIPSTON residents have voted in favour of the neighbourhood plan.
Just over a quarter of residents turned out to vote on whether they wanted Stratford District Council to use Shipston’s Neighbourhood Plan to help decide planning applications in the area.
And nearly nine out of ten of the 1,066 voters answered yes.
Neighbourhood plans are a key component of the Government’s Localism Act, which aims to devolve greater powers to councils and communities.
