RESTAURANT plans for the vacant BHS site in Stratford have been given the go-ahead by planning chiefs.
The former department store in Bridge Street has stood empty since 2016, but plans submitted by Hermes Investment for two restaurants, spanning two floors, have been approved by Stratford District Council.
Outdoor seating and terrace areas are also included in the plan.
A third unit within the building will remain for retail use.
Since its closure there has been much speculation over the site’s potential in the town, which has seen a flourish of restaurant chains following the £3million revamp of Bell Court.
