RSC raise a glass to the Romans

FRIENDS, Romans, cocktails!

To celebrate the RSC’s current Rome season, visitors to the RSC’s Rooftop Restaurant in Stratford can enjoy an array of Roman inspired cocktails this summer.

The cocktails include a Julius Caesar inspired cocktail called Et, tu Brute? which is a mix of sparkling white wine, Italian herbal liqueur Galliano and blue Curacao syrup. The punchy, robust cocktail has been created to reflect the blood thirsty betrayal of Rome’s most famous general.

Queen of the Nile, is a creamy, coffee delight which includes a shot of Italian grape-based brandy Grappa and is based on Shakespeare’s passionate play Antony & Cleopatra.

Bloody Titus is a take on Shakespeare’s gory and tragic Titus Andronicus which uses a mix of port, vodka and grenadine to create a bold and bloodthirsty fusion.

Cocktail of War completes the line-up and is inspired by Shakespeare’s Coriolanus. The concoction of spirits and orange juice has a real kick and is guaranteed to get anyone into action.
