Samaritans celebrate first year at Tyler House

Stratford Editorial 17th Mar, 2017   0

STRATFORD Samaritans are celebrating their first birthday in their new Tyler House home.

As well as providing office space for Stratford Samaritans, Lifespace and St Basils, the hub is regularly used by Heart of England Mencap, Sunny-Side Up, Stratford Deaf Club, Warwickshire Pride and Welcombe Community Radio.

Stratford Samaritans won the largest share of the Stratford Town Trust’s £1million CommYOUnity Challenge – £420,000 – to make their vision for a community hub at Tyler House a reality.

* MENTAL health charity Springfield Mind has been given a massive thumbs up.

The Stratford-based charity which provides free support to people with mental health challenges, recently achieved Mind Quality Management (MQM) status, a set of practice standards set by membership network Mind UK which regulates the charity’s many branches.
