LIFESIZE sculptures of Lawrence of Arabia, the Beatles and Oscar Wilde could go on show regularly.
The Heart of England Forest charity has applied to Stratford District Council for permission to open the sculpture garden in Dorsington to the public ten days a year.
The ‘Garden of Heroes & Villains’ – created by late publishing tycoon Felix Dennis at his south Warwickshire home – features more than 50 life-sized bronze sculptures from history, from a mammoth to Sir Winston Churchill and Bob Dylan.
Previously it has been opened to the public for special or fund-raising events, but now the charity hopes permission is granted for access to be granted ten times a year between May and September.
The Heart of England Forest says it has nearby parking for up to 140 cars for those visiting the site and former events have proved a success.
Money raised will help fund Mr Dennis’ vision to create a 30,000 acre forest in the heart of England for future generations to enjoy and wildlife to thrive.
