SHAKESPEARE will soon be travelling everywhere with Brits when they leave the country.
A portrait of the bard is used for the security watermark on each page of the new-look British passport, and there is also a picture of the Globe Theatre in London.
The passport on the theme of Creative United Kingdom has come in for criticism for the lack of women featured – with architect Elisabeth Scott and mathematician Ada Lovelace the only females among the nine selected.
The men showcased along with Shakespeare include artists John Constable, Anish Kapoor and Sir Antony Gormley, architect Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, computer pioneer Charles Babbage and clockmaker John Harrison.
