Shed-load of songs raise money for hospice

Stratford Editorial 26th Aug, 2018   0

A FOLK band from Stratford are raising a laugh and funds for Shakespeare Hospice.

Tobias launched a new album of comic songs with a charity night at the Stratford Alehouse.

Tony Beysens, Paul Boness and Lol Moran had been performing together for about a year before coming up with the name Tobias – an acronym for ‘Three Old B****** in a Shed, in a nod to their practice venue.

The charity night raised almost £350, and all of the £4 asking price for 14-track CD will go to the Shottery-based hospice.

The CD is on sale at the Shakespeare Hospice Bookshop in Rother Street, its boutique in Greenhill Street, the Stratford Alehouse, also in Greenhill Street, and the hospice furniture shop in Avenue Farm.
