Sheltered accommodation could replace Shipston house

Stratford Editorial 1st Oct, 2017   0

A HOUSE in Shipston could be knocked down to make way for sheltered accommodation.

Developers Churchill Retirement Living want to demolish South Lynn House off London Road to make way for 33 apartments for over 60s.

If approved by Stratford District Council, the development will include 21 one-bedroom flats and 12 two-bedroom flats.

A spokesman for the developers said: “There is a need for this type of property in Shipston. The development proposal will create an attractive development of sheltered housing. The building respects and enhances the character of the area.”
