Southam litter pickers glow for the greater good

WASTE-warriors can rest assured they will be visible when cleaning up the streets in Southam.

Developer Taylor Wimpey has donated 70 personalised hi-vis vests to ensure the town’s Rubbish Friends team stays safe on monthly litter picks.

Volunteer Maggie Russell said: “We’re so grateful to Taylor Wimpey for this kind donation. The work that we do at Rubbish Friends depends greatly on generous sponsorships and donations such as this one. The hi-vis jackets are a welcome addition to our kit and will help keep our team safe and seen when out on our litter picks.”

Taylor Wimpey spokeswoman Anne Wallace added: “Monthly litter picks are a brilliant way to build community spirit and keep the local environment clean – we’re delighted to be able to support such a good cause.”
