Staff to cycle in solidarity against cancer

Stratford Editorial 17th Sep, 2017   0

STAFF are cycling in solidarity against cancer.

Nine members of staff from Stratford School along with friends and relatives have signed up to support the ‘Cyclists Fighting Cancer Million Mile Bike Ride Challenge’ on September 30.

They will be undertaking a 100 mile ride through the Cotswold hills, starting and finishing at Stratford School.

The staff team includes Mark Smith, Neil Wallace, Kevin Lister, Neil Wood, David Bartlett, Edward Bamford, Steven Albon, Tammie Clifford and Mark Jennings.

Cyclists Fighting Cancer was set up by Mike Grisenthwaite, father to Henry and Oscar in the school’s Fortune College. Mike is a double cancer survivor and the charity enables children and young people living with cancer across the UK to regain their physical fitness, strength and confidence by giving them new bikes, adapted trikes, tandems, other equipment and support.
