ARTISTS in Stratford are celebrating a milestone anniversary.
Stratford Art Society’s Diamond Exhibition will be on show at King Edward VI School (KES) until August 25, daily from 10.30am to 5pm.
The free entry exhibition will showcase a variety of paintings, drawings, ceramics and glass, all for sale.
Each day different artists will demonstrate their skills and visitors can join in on the ‘have a go’ tables.
A special anniversary project will also document the town over two years through sketches and photographs – from the arrival of the big wheel to Bell Court.
Archival material which has been discovered relating to founding members Louise Bomford, William Rawlinson and Wilfred Puddephat will also be on display.
Wilfred Puddephat was the art master at KES and William Rawlinson was head of art at Stratford School. He was an official Second World War artist and celebrated wood engraver.
