Stratford College prepares for new era

Ian Hughes 20th Jan, 2018

STRATFORD College is preparing for a new era.

The college will soon be merging with Solihull College & University Centre allowing it to offer its most wide-ranging ever curriculum.

Principal John Callaghan said: “Each college possesses unique areas of expertise and this merger will enable us to maximise our combined strengths.”

Building on its core strengths in creative arts, culture, hospitality and sport, over 20 new courses will be launched across the curriculum in September.

Mr Callaghan added: “The strength of the creative curriculum at Stratford was one of the prime reasons we wanted to merge with them so I’m particularly pleased that we are able to open this curriculum to a more diverse population. I’m also delighted that we are drawing on the unique cultural and historical character of the town to enhance the offer in a way no other town could.”

The college is holding an open event on Wednesday (January 24), from 5.30pm to 7.30pm. Visit To to pre-register.
