STRATFORD Library has found a temporary home while the main library.

The Henley Street library will be closed until the summer for refurbishment but library-users can now access services nearby at the ArtsHouse on Rother Street.

Most services normally available from the main library are on offer at the temporary site plus an additional free service to request books, DVDs and audiobooks in the Warwickshire County Council stock.

Other services on offer include free public access to two computers and free wifi, free rhymetime and storystomp sessions, daily newspapers and the concessionary travel service.

When the main library opens in the summer it will also house the registration service and will have longer opening hours.

Warwickshire County council spokesperson for customer service, Coun Kam Kaur said: “The county council has worked hard to ensure library services remain open in Stratford and is very grateful to the town trust for enabling that to happen.

“We have done our very best to keep inconvenience to a minimum for library-users.

“The refurbishment work at Stratford Library is absolutely essential but will leave it with a better look and longer opening hours.”
