Stratford Mop Fair returns to town

Ian Hughes 8th Oct, 2017

ROLL up, Roll up for Stratford Mop Fair next week.

The annual takes place on Wednesday and Thursday (October 11 and 12). The Charity Mop is on the Wednesday from 4pm until 11pm, with the Main Mop the following day from 11am until midnight.

The fair will feature a mix of modern and traditional rides, and the 127 year-old Golden Carousel will also be in Rother Street again this year.

The fair will begin with the main procession and the traditional charity Pig Roast Auction, and Stratford Scouts will be having a pig roast on both days at the junction of Waterside and Bridge Street.

The ‘runaway mop’ takes place on the following Thursday and Friday (October 19 and 20).
