THOSE who helped Stratford bloom this year have been honoured.

The annual Stratford in Bloom results have recognised the efforts of all the town’s green-fingered folk.

Overall winners and chairman’s cup winner will be announced at a later date.

The winners were: Nursery Schools – 1st Polkadot Nursery; 2nd Caring Kindergartens; Primary Schools –  Bridgetown and Thomas Jolyffe; Community Awards – 1st St Joseph’s Homestead Trust; 2nd Guild Cottages; Allotments – Tiddington and Alveston; B&B’s and Guest Houses – 1st Woodstock, Grove Road; 2nd Twelfth Night, Evesham Place; Business – Bennetts Funeral Directors, Sheep Street; 2nd  Dentist Mark Feller, John Street; Hotels – 1st The Shakespeare Hotel, Chapel Street; 2nd White Swan, Rother Street; Public Buildings – The American Fountain; Pubs, Restaurants, Coffee Shops – 1st Scholars Patisseries, Henley Street; 2nd Old Thatch Tavern, Greenhill Street; Religious Grounds – 1st Commonwealth War Graves, Evesham Road; 2nd Baptist Church, Payton Street; Shops – 1st Shrieves Walk; 2nd Music Matters, Chapel Street; Tourist Attractions – 1st Hall’s Croft, Henley Street; 2nd Anne Hathaway’s Cottage; Rear Gardens – 1st Mrs Jo Bigwood, Brewery Street; 2nd Mr and Mrs Charles, Holtom Street; Front Gardens – 1st Mr and Mrs Vale, Cherry Orchard; 2nd Mr and Mrs Crutchley, Townsend Road; Front Gardens – 1st Mr and Mrs Pryor; 2nd Miss Fitton, Tavern Lane; Bee Friendly Winner – Mr and Mrs Ward, Tiddington Road.
