SUMMER is set to take off at a nature reserve which has added a brand new bird hide.
The hideout at Brandon Marsh Nature Reserve overlooks a feeding area which attracts a wide range of birds and wildlife.
The new haven was officially opened by pupils from schools across the county, who were invited to celebrate with a day out at the reserve.
The bird hide was partly funded by HSBC and put together with helping hands from Volvo, Barlett’s and Severn Trent as part of ‘wild work day’.
Warwickshire Wildlife Trust spokesman Karl Curtis said: “The hideout gives visitors an additional and family-friendly bird hide and it is full of colourful displays and ID guides. It provides a great introduction to wildlife-watching and is well worth a visit over the summer holidays.”
Visitors can enjoy the hideout daily from 10am.
