Talk on organic gardening is on offer

PEOPLE are invited to find out more about organic gardening in Stratford on Sunday (February 5).

Sustainability group Transition Stratford are hosting a talk and seed swap at the Lifeways Centre at 30 Albany Road.

Diana Sandercock from the Heart of England Organic Group will talking about how to make your gardening organic, helping to reduce pollution and save money.

She has been an organic grower for some 40 years and will be drawing on her experience to cover topics like composting, planting and weed control.




The talk starts at 2pm with a bring-and-share lunch starting at 1pm. The session is free to attend and open to all.

OVER 20 varieties of snowdrops can be admired in Welford on February 18.

Green-fingered Glenis Dyer is opening her garden to the public as part of National Gardens Scheme’s snowdrop festival.

Hot drinks will be on offer to people who visit the garden on Elm Close from 1.30pm to 3.30pm. Entry is £3.

The National Gardens Scheme raises funds for palliative care hospices and charities like Macmillan and Marie Curie.
