TEENAGERS have been charged with a series of ‘violent’ raids where homeowners were threatened with machetes and hammers.
Police swooped on an address in Stratford and arrested 18-year-old Dylan Harrison and a 16-year-old boy.
The pair were jointly charged with three robberies, four burglaries and two attempted robberies − all of which saw victims targeted for high-value cars − plus one count of car theft.
The duo are alleged to have stolen three bikes worth £15,000 from a shed in Tiddington, a number of cars, breaking into homes and threatening victims with knives including a meat cleaver and machete.
Harrison, of no fixed address, is separately charged with three burglaries during which two cars were taken.
They appeared at Birmingham Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (February 13) and were remanded in custody to appear at Birmingham Crown Court on March 13.
