The Shakespeare Hospice needs your vote

THE SHAKESPEARE Hospice needs your vote.

The Shottery-based hospice is on the shortlist to win a share of Persimmon Homes’ Building Futures £1million pot supporting under-18s nationwide.

The hospice is hoping to scoop a top prize – £100,000, £50,000 or £20,000 – which will be decided on those winning the most online votes before September 27.

Hospice spokeswoman Karen Davies said: “It is a huge achievement to have been selected as a regional finalist, but now we really need people to get behind us and get voting so that we are in the strongest possible position to earn one of the top three cash awards.

“The Shakespeare Hospice offers a diverse range of specialist rehabilitative and palliative care services to young people affected by life-limiting illness as well as pre and post bereavement support.

“Persimmon’s top prize would be hugely beneficial to us, meaning that we could fund valuable staff training and resources, and will allow us to expand the free activities we offer to young people.”

A further 87 shortlisted projects will each receive £5,000.

To vote simply visit www.persimmonhomes.com/building-futures and select The Shakespeare Hospice.

People can vote more than once – but only once every 24 hours from one IP Address. Voting closes at midnight on September 27.
