THOUSANDS of people attended Stratford’s four-day “street party” to celebrate the Queen’s Jubilee.
The free event had everything from a huge artisan royal themed market to a mass public picnic by the river in the shadow of the Royal Shakespeare Theatre.
The event was put together by Stratford Upon Avon Business Improvement District (SUA BID); LSD Promotions; the Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC); the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust (SBT); Escape Arts; Stratford District Council (SDC) and Stratford Town Council (STC).
Diane Mansell, Stratford BID Manager said: “We’re thrilled to have celebrated the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in the town centre and it’s fantastic to have so many businesses getting involved.”
Jon Holliday, business manager for LSD Promotions added: “We were delighted to be a part of delivering the Platinum Jubilee Festival in Stratford.
“We have worked closely with various partners in town to produce the four-day event.”
