THREE men were “extremely lucky” to escape without injury after a car and a van collided in Henley.

Emergency services were called to the A3400 Liveridge Hill around 11.30am on Monday (September 7) and arrived to find a car which had suffered significant front end damage.

All three men had managed to make their way out of their vehicles and the driver – a man believed to be in his 20s – had only suffered minor injuries.

After being assessed by ambulance staff, he was discharged on scene along with two other men – also in their 20s – who were travelling in the van and were uninjured.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews arrived to find three patients out of their vehicles following a collision between a car and a van.

“The damage to the front of the car demonstrates the serious nature of the collision, therefore it is extremely lucky that all three patients have walked away without serious injury.”
